This work is inspired by the connectivity of mycelium in relation to human patterns of communication, and gently brings into question our complex relationships with the natural world. Often described as the ‘wood wide web’ mycelium is a network of fungal threads which form mutually beneficial relationships with plants, driving nutrient cycles and creating soil. Highly responsive, and some believe sentient, these pervasive organisms have been found to provide a conduit for communication within plant communities. Comments are closed.
